Songs for the road1. Keep The Car Running – The Arcade Fire
 The Arcade Fire makes the kind of music that you want to listen to while driving long distances at night. It's basically a rule for me to listen to TAF while driving at night. 2. Night Drive – Jimmy Eat World  Jimmy Eat World+driving=a must. At lease for me it is. And the song "night drive" fits very neatly into this list I have don't you think? Driving at night is also very nice. 3. Passenger Seat – Death Cab for Cutie  This song could quite possibly be one of my favourite songs ever. I'm also glad that I no longer need to sit in the passenger seat as much now that I have my own car. 4. Dashboard – Modest Mouse  I just like this song. haha thats why I put it in here, if it wasn't called "Dashboard" it wouldn't be here. 5. I’m In Love With My Car – Queen  I love Queen, and I am in love with my car. Perfect fit for this list. 6. In The Car – Barenaked Ladies  I know a lot of people that don't like BNL but I love BNL (laugh at me if you want, its cool) and this song is about make out sessions in the car..how could a song like this not be included on my list? 7. Driving – Anberlin  I think this is here for obvious reasons, whether you've heard the song or just read the title, it definitely has to do with driving. And I like driving, I like Anberlin's song called Driving, it's the perfect song for driving. 8. DUI – Green Day  I hope that this song has never made anyone want to drive under the influence. I hope no one who reads this list EVER drinks and drives. its really not cool at all. But it is a song about driving none the less and I laugh at the lyrics. 9. Volvo Driving Soccer Mom – Everclear  This song has absolutely ridiculous lyrics and the title is the only part that really has anything to do with driving/the road. The song makes me and my friends laugh, go listen to it maybe it will make you laugh too? Laughing while driving with friends, that sounds pretty good to me. 10. Road Trip – Stereogram  I picked this song because last summer I went on tour with some of my friends and this song just reminds me of them...and all the driving we did. I just got a new (old) car so I'm just excited that I don't have to ask my mom to take the truck out anymore so I made a list of songs about driving and cars. Know anymore? let me know. haha yeah i know that but i made this list just because i got a car i wanted songs about driving that i could drive to in my new car..i'm way lame like that
Bittersweet Symphony is just an amazing song for anything.
But I agree with thhe whole comment.
The new Armor for Sleep album is great for the road too.
Never listen to metal music on a good system. Ew, it sounds as if your vehicle is in the middle of a battlefield.
oooo you just gave me an awesome idea for a mix cd/list "songs for speeding" not that i'm big on speeding or anything although everyone does it it would just consist of songs with wicked fast tempo's hahaha
and the format is excellent driving music :)
and i seriously have never met anyone who didn't agree with me on that. if you haven't heard of them, look them up immediately if not sooner. i believe the album review quote on the front of their album hi, everything's great is actually "this is the best driving music ever", hahaha.
i guess i could have picked a better title but i've never been good with titles so oh well haha the basic idea is that the list consists of songs about driving and the road so your suggestion "song abut the road for the road" is probably a good one
maybe if i make another list i'll ask for your help with a title haha
